stanbul - Aegean and Cappadocia Journey TOUR DAY BY DAY

Individual arrivals to the hotel (if requested; transfers can be arranged). Galata’s Hotel in Karaköy near Galata Bridge opposite the old city Constantinople and in neighborhood called Galata.

The hotel is within walking distance to the bridge and surrounded by many restaurants and museums. Today no meals are included.

Tour starts at 08:00 am with check out from the hotel. 20 minute long Minivan Journey to Ephesus; a magnificent Roman city which has been under excavations since mid 19th century.

You will see Agora and the third-largest library of antiquity, the Great Theatre and Harbour Street, and you will understand the atmosphere of the people living in the first century in the Ephesus congregation. It will take around 3 hours in the ancient city. Includes Lunch at a local restaurant with great variety.

Tour starts at 07:30 am. (Over 100 F. at noon time in the summer & no shade in the historic site). Departure for Laodicea. Another large Roman city destroyed by the earthquake during the time of Emperor Phocas in the early 7th century.

Included Lunch at Denizli. Journey to Hierapolis, the neighboring city of Laodicea.

Visit the thermal pool in white color and explore the ancient site. Dinner at the hotel (The hotel has thermal hot pools. If you wish to swim, please bring a swimming costume and hair caps).

Minivan journey to Cappadocia (395 miles). Lunch on own on the way to Konya city. Visit Mevlana Monastery museum (the father of the Turkish Medieval Islamic Mysticism).
Continue journey to Cappadocia. Dinner at the hotel.

Departure for an underground city where the nearby village settlers used it for shelter in case the intruders from enemy lands attempt to sack the region.

Visit a pottery workshop where a lecture on Cappadocia and Turkish Pottery making will be given to us by an expert. Lunch: On own. After having lunch you can enjoy photo ops in the region and we return to the hotel. Dinner: Included

Early Morning: Early risers can join an optional hot-air balloon ride over Cappadocia’s amber terrain and fairy-tale chimneys in the quiet light of dawn.

We will start our day with the visit of Turkish Carpet Cooperative and enjoy an intensive lecture on this unique art. Lunch: Included.

  • Do not pick up ancient stone pieces, even if they look like small useless marble or brick from the sites! They will definitely be confiscated from you and you might be detained at the airport before your flight.
